Automatic Site Attendance
BRU Mobile can automatically record attendance for eligible field users when the device verifies presence within an assigned site. There is no manual check-in button to press.
Requirements
- Location Services enabled on the device
- BRU Mobile location permission granted
- Background location permission where required
- The user assigned to that site
- Device and network conditions that allow verification
What this does not do
- Location is used when necessary to verify authorized site attendance and related operational features.
- BRU does not continuously display off-site employee movement to clients.
- Role-based access controls determine who can see operational information.
- Location behaviour is subject to iOS and Android background restrictions, which can delay or prevent verification.
Notification Troubleshooting
Settings → Apps → BRU Mobile → Notifications → Allow Notifications
Settings → Apps → BRU Mobile → Notifications → Allow
On Android, battery optimisation and background restrictions can also delay or block delivery. Allow BRU Mobile to run in the background if notifications arrive late.
Common questions.
What is BRU Mobile?
BRU Mobile is the companion app for BRU CO. construction projects. It gives assigned teams and clients access to project and site information, progress reports, site attendance and project notifications from a phone.
Who can use BRU Mobile?
The app is for BRU staff and BRU clients: engineers and site teams, project managers, administrators, and clients of a BRU project. It is not a public app — every account is assigned a role and a project or site scope.
How do I get access?
Request access from within the app, or ask your Project Manager or a BRU administrator. An approver reviews the request and sets the final role along with the project or site scope, so the access you receive may differ from the access you requested.
Why can't I see a project or site?
Projects and sites appear according to your assignment and role. If something is missing, you are most likely not assigned to it yet. Your Project Manager or a BRU administrator can add you.
How does automatic attendance work?
For eligible field users, the app records attendance when the device verifies that you are within a site you are assigned to. It depends on location permissions, your site assignment, and device and network conditions. There is no manual check-in button.
Does BRU track my location all the time?
No. Location is used when necessary to verify authorized site attendance and related operational features. BRU does not continuously display off-site employee movement to clients, and role-based access controls determine who can see operational information.
How do I enable notifications?
On iPhone: Settings → Apps → BRU Mobile → Notifications → Allow Notifications. On Android: Settings → Apps → BRU Mobile → Notifications → Allow. On Android, battery optimisation and background restrictions can also delay delivery.
How do I reset my password?
Use the forgot-password option on the sign-in screen and follow the email sent to your account address. If no email arrives, check your spam folder, then contact BRU Support.
How can a client see project progress?
Clients of a BRU project can be given a client account, which shows progress, milestones, the project gallery and messages for their own project only. Ask your BRU project contact to arrange access.
How do I contact BRU Support?

Tell us what went wrong.
Send the details and our team will reply to the email address you provide. Include your device, your app version, and the project or site involved — it is usually what lets us answer on the first reply.
