Requesting deletion in the app

The deletion control lives inside BRU Mobile so that only the account holder, signed in on their own device, can start it. The steps below are the ones in the app.

  1. 01

Open BRU Mobile and sign in.

  2. 02

    Go to Profile.

If your account is still awaiting approval, the deletion option is available on the pending-access screen as well.

  3. 03

    Select Delete my account.

  4. 04

Read what is deleted and what BRU keeps, then re-enter your password.

Re-entering the password confirms it is you, not someone using an unlocked device.

  5. 05

Type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete my account.

What happens next

Your request is submitted and processed by BRU. Your access to BRU Mobile is revoked and you are signed out. Deletion is not reversible.

Some of the work is completed by BRU's systems after the request is made, so removal across all systems may not be instantaneous.

What is deleted

Deletion covers the personal information held against your account, subject to the deletion implemented in the app:

  • Account and profile information, including your name and contact details
  • Your personal app preferences and settings
  • Your sign-in credentials and device sessions, including any biometric unlock you enabled
  • Your access to every project, site and message in BRU Mobile
  • Other personal information held against your account, subject to the deletion implemented in the app

What BRU is required to keep

Deleting your account does not delete the record of a construction project. Reports, attendance records and project history you contributed to are retained by BRU in anonymised form, because BRU is required to keep a complete record of the work carried out on a project and removing your entries would leave gaps in another person's project history.

  • Project, site and construction records belonging to BRU or to its clients rather than to you personally
  • Contractual, accounting and audit records
  • Security records, and anything else BRU must keep to meet a legal or regulatory obligation, resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement

These records are retained where required under applicable Saudi law, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) where applicable, or under a legitimate contractual or legal obligation. They are kept only for as long as that need lasts.
